More than half a century after American Pie first changed the shape of popular music, the original troubadour Don McLean returns to Australia this October to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the song that continues to define generations.
Don is pleased to now add Geelong to the list of shows on this tour!
Joining Don at all shows will be Australian singer-songwriter Gaudion.
Hailing from Hillston in outback New South Wales, Gaudion’s shows are all about comfort, charisma and heartfelt storytelling. With a vision to create music that inspires love, hope and reality, Gaudion seamlessly blends folk, country and pop, drawing inspiration from the likes of Tracy Chapman, Ed Sheeran and John Mayer.
Joining Don for both the Melbourne and Geelong shows will be very special guests 1927*.

More than half a century after American Pie first changed the shape of popular music, the original troubadour, Don McLean returns to Australia this October to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the song that continues to define generations.
Still touring, still performing and still drawing audiences who have lived with these songs for decades, McLean’s upcoming shows offer something increasingly rare, the chance to see one of the great American songwriters of the modern era performing the music that became part of the cultural fabric of the last half the 20th century and beyond.
From the moment the opening lines of American Pie ring out, through to enduring favourites including Vincent (Starry, Starry Night), Castles in the Air, And I Love You So and more, these are not simply concerts but shared memories revisited in real time.
Along with the songs, McLean reflects on their origins and the path that took them around the world, sharing stories and memories that bring an added intimacy to the live experience.
