Rock powerhouse Ann Wilson has today announced she is bringing her Ann Wilson & Tripsitter, The Voice of Heart tour to Australia as sideshows to her appearance at the exclusive one-night only Carreras & Friends performance on December 5 at The Gabba. 

 

With over 20 shows across the U.S., Canada, and Japan, the tour will head down under  from November with four shows across Adelaide, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney. 

 

The sideshows will see the legendary lead singer of Heart perform alongside her backing band, Tripsitter showcasing classic Heart hits, solo material, and tracks from their collaborative albums Another Door and Consecrated Ground.  

 

Joining Ann on the Australian leg of the tour, special guests Dragon, one of Australasia’s most enduring and influential rock acts and the band behind anthem hits like April Sun in Cuba, Are You Old Enough?, and Rain. 

 

As the founder and lead singer-songwriter of the barrier-breaking band Heart, Ann has sold more than 35 million records and is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy Lifetime Achievement award recipient. As one of the first women to front a hard rock band at arena scale, Ann helped redefine the possibilities for female artists in rock, delivering era-defining hits like “Barracuda,” “Magic Man,” and “Crazy on You”.

On December 5, Ann will then join legendary tenor Jose Carreras to perform a duet of “Somewhere” before a solo performance of “Alone” with Queensland Symphony Orchestra (QSO) and “Stairway to Heaven” with QSO and a 16 voice choir for the Carreras & Friends one-night only event.

 

Exclusively curated for the iconic Gabba Cricket Ground and presented by Quintessential Queensland, Ann will be joined by acclaimed artists including; Katherine Jenkins, Natalie Imbruglia, Sheppard, Mark Vincent, Darren Hayes, Ronan Keating, The Corrs and Robbie Williams. 

 

Backed by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and choir, Carreras & Friends will transform The Gabba into a world-class concert spectacular blending timeless opera, beloved contemporary classics and powerful collaborations under the Brisbane sky. The evening will be conducted and musically directed by internationally renowned maestro Keith Levenson, whose extraordinary career includes collaborations with The Who, Stevie Nicks, KISS and Meat Loaf.
